For years I never thought about body wash. It was just the thing in the shower, whatever was on offer, in a bottle big enough to prop a door open.
Then I noticed my skin never felt good afterwards. Tight, dry, a bit stripped. I'd towel off and reach straight for moisturiser to undo what I'd just done. That felt backwards, so I turned the bottle over and read it properly.
Water. The first ingredient in almost everything on the shelf. After that, very little that was actually there to look after my skin. I'd spent years being careful about what I put in my body, and had never once thought about what I was putting on it.
It explained the bottles, too. They have to be enormous because they are mostly water. You carry a litre of it home, store it in your shower, and pay to have it shipped across the world. And none of it looks like anything you would want to leave out.
So I went looking for something better. Something that cared for my skin, felt good to use, and looked the part. I couldn't find it, so I made it.
It took over ten versions. What came out is concentrated, with no added water, a pH balanced to your skin, and ingredients that are actually there to look after it. Glycerin and aloe to hydrate and calm. Panthenol and squalane to keep skin soft and smooth. It comes in a small aluminium tube instead of a plastic bottle, and it's formulated and made here in the UK.
One mission. To change the way you wash, for good. Less water, better ingredients, and no more giant plastic bottles.
