Terms of service

The Site is operated by Legit Cosmetics Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number [registration number]1, with its registered office at [registered address]1. Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Legit Cosmetics Limited.

By using the Site or buying from us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Site. We may update these terms, and the current version is always on this page. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept it.

1. Membership and orders

Legit is sold as a membership. Your first order is a Starter Kit, and after that we send you a repeat order automatically until you cancel. Membership also gives you access to member products and drops9.

Your order is accepted when we confirm it by email, not when you place it. If we cannot fulfil an order we will tell you and refund you in full.

2. Billing cycle

Once your membership starts we will deliver a repeat order, and take payment for it, every 90 days2. You can change how often you receive orders at any time in your account or by emailing us.

3. Changing, pausing and cancelling

You can pause, change or cancel your membership at any time, with no fee. Changes must be made at least [notice period] before your renewal date3. A change made after that point applies to the order after next, because the next one has already been processed.

If you ask us to make a change by email rather than in your account, it takes effect once we have confirmed it in writing.

4. Prices and payment

Your first order is [first order price]4. Each repeat order after it is [renewal price]4. The renewal price is shown to you before you join, and again in your order confirmation.

Payment is taken automatically before each order is sent, using the card you gave us when you joined. Payments are processed by Shopify, and are subject to their terms as well as ours. If we change our prices we will tell you before the change applies to you.

5. Delivery

We deliver to [delivery regions]5. Delivery costs are shown before you pay and are [included in / added to]5 the price of each order.

Delivery dates we give you are estimates. We are not responsible for losses caused by a delivery arriving later than estimated.

6. Returns and guarantee

If you are not happy with your order, tell us within 30 days6 and we will [refund or replace it]6.

This is in addition to your legal rights. As a consumer buying online you normally have 14 days from delivery to change your mind, and separate rights if goods are faulty or not as described. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

7. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your login secure, and for anything done through your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.

8. Using the Site

You may not use the Site for anything unlawful, attempt to interfere with it, or copy the content on it for commercial use without our permission. Everything on the Site, including our name, branding, images and copy, belongs to us.

We work hard to describe our products accurately, but we do not guarantee that everything on the Site is free of errors. Where we find an error in a price or description we will tell you before your order is processed.

9. Our responsibility to you

We do not exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Beyond that, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when you ordered, and our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it.

Our products are cosmetics for external use. If you have a known allergy or a skin condition, check the ingredients before use and speak to your doctor if you are unsure.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
